If the answer is yes, please kindly read on and get in touch today to avoid missing out The role As the CAD Technician, you will have the responsibility to support the Engineering & Design Department through provision of Digital Engineering Services including: Provision of 2D Design Deliverables Project Hand over support including Operation & Maintenance ManualsRate - £25-30Ltd (Outside of IR35 subject to an IR35 Assessment) 40 hours per week Duration – 3-6 months (highly likely to be ongoing) Location – Macclesfield, Cheshire Hybrid working – 3 days from Macclesfield required (2 days from home) Your duties and responsibilities will be The CAD Technician will work closely with the Instrument Engineer and Instrument Designers to support the efficient and effective delivery of engineering & design services. Produce Computer Aided Design Deliverables in Auto CAD primarily loop diagrams and block cable diagrams. Have excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise. Mentor/train junior team members.You will have the following qualifications and experience ONC in technical engineering related subject or substantial experience. Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D. The Instrument CAD Technician will have a technical engineering background and have industry related experience. Familiarity with Revit(not essesntial) Strong experience in UK construction projects Experience of M&E design best practices(Focus on Instrumentation). Experience of work on projects in Hazardous Area’s(ATEX) Strong understanding of design process & associated documentation. Project life cycle experience. Knowledge of data and administrative management practices and procedures. Ability to undertake site surveys.
