We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Support Worker to join a housing association in the East Midlands.

Location: Northampton
Hours: Shift work between the hours of 8 am - 8 pm
Hourly rate: £16-£20ph via umbrella
Contract type: Temporary
Responsibilities of a Support Worker include:
1. Supporting pathways for people who have dealt with trauma, periods of homelessness, poor mental health, drug/alcohol abuse, domestic abuse, and financial difficulties.
2. Safeguarding cases and taking appropriate action with the line of services suitable.
3. Helping to prepare tenants for their future, identifying opportunities for people to move on successfully into sustainable, independent housing.
Successful Support Worker applicants must have:
1. Experience working with and supporting vulnerable individuals in a housing background.
2. Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues, with an ability to influence and negotiate.
3. Comfort with challenging conversations, great listening skills, and the ability to recognize what our customers really want and need.
4. Ability to work effectively without judgment.
5. Good resilience and an understanding of the issues faced by people living in supported housing.
