Project Manager | Milton Keynes | Up to £65,000 | Permanent\n\nThe Opportunity:\n\n An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable and innovative Project Manager to coordinate complex, fast-moving projects and drive momentum within a dynamic, high-demand environment. With a full order book for the next few years and approximately 80 rolling stock vehicles on-site at a time, you’ll oversee projects through their entire lifecycle, ensuring exceptional delivery standards under ever-changing scenarios.\n\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in uncertainty, can manage demanding clients, and relishes the opportunity to influence outcomes. You’ll bring fresh ideas to a traditional industry, foster strong relationships with your team, and make a visible impact on nationally significant rail projects.
The role offers variety, challenge, and the satisfaction of shaping processes, driving efficiency, and delivering results in a booming sector.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nManage the full lifecycle of projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.\nBuild strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.\nOversee project scope, risk management, financial oversight, and variation control.\nMonitor key milestones, optimise resources, and lead your team to success.\nDevelop processes that drive continual improvement and efficiency.\nCoordinate with clients and teams in a fast-moving, complex environment to ensure seamless project delivery.\nThe Candidate: You will have:\n\nExperience in manufacturing or heavy technical engineering industries.\nTraditional Project Management qualifications, such as APM.\nProven expertise in managing complex projects through their entire lifecycle.\nProficiency in software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and SAP.\nStrong interpersonal skills to build relationships with demanding clients and cross-functional teams.\nAn innovative mindset with the confidence to deal with uncertainty and make things happen.\nLocation: Milton Keynes - On-site a minimum of three days per week, two days remote, to meet business needs.\n\nSalary: Up to £65,000 plus annual car allowance.\n\nAbout Ford & Stanley Group\n\nFord & Stanley Talent Services Group are in the business of people and performance.
