Available Positions Bank Hours - Ad hoc shifts available including mornings, afternoons, and weekends during term time and college holidays. Typical shifts are: Monday - Friday, 7am-10am and 3pm-8pm and Waking Nights, 10pm -7am. Weekends, 7.30am-1.30pm and 1.30pm-7.30pm. Holidays, 7am-2pm and 2pm-8pm. Competitive Pay Rates Weekday, Day Shifts: £14.12 per hour Weekend & Bank Holiday, Day Shifts: £15.30 per hour Waking Nights: £17.23 to £19.80 per hour Sleeping Nights: £National Living Wage bonus per hour Overtime: £3.00/hour (for permanent members of staff only) Enhanced Pay for Festive Periods About The Role You'll be working with a bright, lively young woman who has Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. She attends college and loves learning new things, so part of your role will be to support her educational and social experiences. You'll also assist her in exploring new activities, helping her maintain a rich and fulfilling life. This young woman has a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humour. She thrives on routine but also enjoys trying new things and meeting new people. Your role will be crucial in helping her explore her interests and make the most of every day. She requires assistance with all aspects of daily living, but she also loves being involved in her care and making decisions about her day. Her family are involved in her care and works closely with her support team to ensure her needs are met and that she continues to grow and enjoy life. They value a team that communicates openly, respects their daughter's individuality, and shares their commitment to providing the best care possible. What Our Client Is Looking For A female Support Worker who can provide personal care and support to our client, ensuring her needs and aspirations are at the centre of all care activities Work confidently and sensitively in the client’s home, respecting the needs and wishes of both the client and her family. Experience working with young adults, particularly those with Cerebral Palsy or epilepsy, is preferred but not essential—full training is provided Being able to operate specialist equipment safely and effectively (training provided). Implement the Handling Management Plan to reduce the risk of handling injuries, including tasks that may require bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, or pulling. Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and professionalism in all interactions. A friendly, proactive approach with strong communication skills A compassionate, patient nature with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes equality. Maintain confidentiality and trustworthiness in all aspects of the role. Be comfortable around animals, particularly the client's pet dog. Collaborate with the care team, providing feedback and developing productive, professional relationships. Maintain high standards of care and adhere to quality requirements. Utilise strong organisational skills to manage daily tasks and documentation. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be proficient in using IT systems. Water confident to assist with swimming Flexibility to cover shifts, sometimes at short notice Full driving licence (endorsements to be disclosed) and willingness to drive a wheelchair-adapted vehicle (training provided).
