FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead
Location : Leiston – Site-based
Employment Type : Permanent, Full-time
Salary : £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits
We are seeking a motivated and experienced FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead to join our client based in Leiston. This key role involves the delivery, implementation, and ongoing management of workspace services across office buildings and internal facilities. You will play an essential part in ensuring the effective use of workspace, ensuring that services are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
As the FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead, you will maintain a detailed database of space utilization, occupiers, furniture, equipment, and other assets, ensuring optimal use of space to meet the needs of the project. You will also oversee the strategic planning and day-to-day management of workspace operations while providing hands-on leadership and expert advice.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Leading Workspace Service Delivery : Overseeing the provision of workspace services across office buildings and facilities, ensuring both existing and future workspaces meet project needs and operational efficiency.
* Service Contract Management : Managing service contracts related to CAD and moves management, ensuring that all service deliverables are met to the highest standards.
* Compliance & Regulatory Oversight : Ensuring workspace services comply with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and site-specific requirements, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
* Building Collaborative Relationships : Cultivating strong working relationships with service contract partners, stakeholders, and the project team, ensuring clear communication and mutual respect.
* CAD & Database Management : Managing and ensuring that CAD and database software are used effectively for maintaining master drawings, space utilisation records, and other critical data.
* Team Competence & Development : Leading and developing a team of workspace management professionals, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to meet the demands of the role. Escalating issues when necessary.
* Resource Planning & Forecasting : Developing and implementing strategies to ensure service delivery aligns with project timelines, including workforce forecasting and resource planning.
* Proactive Problem-Solving : Identifying potential issues early on and working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to resolve challenges before they escalate.
* Performance Monitoring & Reporting : Preparing regular reports on workspace management performance, including safety metrics, adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, financial performance, and project forecasting.
* Technical & Service Solutions : Addressing any technical issues or service-related concerns with workspace areas and office buildings, providing solutions as required.
The Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Education : A degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
* CAD Expertise : Essential that you are trained and qualified in CAD, with experience in using CAD tools for space planning and management.
* Budget Management : Proven experience in managing budgets, including forecasting, financial reporting, and cost management.
* Leadership & Management : Demonstrated leadership or management experience in a service-oriented environment, particularly within facilities management or workspace management.
* Workspace Management Experience : Experience in delivering workspace services, ideally within large-scale construction or project environments.
* Communication Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Teamwork : A collaborative and team-oriented approach, willing to work closely with local supply chain partners and project teams to achieve shared goals.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
* Certification in Behavioural Safety or a related programme.
* IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) accreditation or equivalent safety management qualification.
