The Role
Joining the team on a permanent basis, the successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation of month-end management accounts, accruals and prepayments, and reporting on financial performance. Reviewing and reconciling financial and operational data and providing support to business stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities within this role include:
* Preparation of month-end schedules, accruals, prepayments, and reconciling balance sheet figures
* Primary responsibility for key financial cost lines, including Payroll, IT, Utility and other OpEx costs.
* Increasing business partnering across the functions, providing support and leading the financials for the Central Pure Gym teams responsible for People, IT, Utilities and other areas
* Regular liaising with the wider business to support understanding of regular results
* Assistance with year-end audit process
* Assisting with the preparation of budgets and regular reforecasting
* Assisting the commercial finance team with cash flow figures
* Regular collaboration with the payroll team as part of the month-end processes
* Monthly review of results and commentary on variances
* Liaising with and providing support to the Pure Gym People team, Group Team and other Central teams when required
* Involvement in other ad hoc areas as requested
* Other reasonable duties or attendance at meetings as required.
The Person
* Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with proven experience delivering monthly accounting.
* Passionate about PureGym and understands how accounting function can best serve wider business needs.
* A high achiever who is looking to be part of an energetic, fast-growing business.

* Someone who is happy to be hands-on and work on their own initiative but also able to work together as a team to meet key deadlines such as the month-end accounts.
* Can build strong working relationships and networks to enable success - across and outside of the business.

* Strong attention to detail, and proven ability to work to deadlines through effective time management.
* Excellent Excel skills.
* Experience of working with Sage 200 would be an advantage, but not essential.
