A leading International Organisation seeks a strategic and dynamic Group Financial Controller to join our leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the financial strategy of an established international organisation and make a lasting impact.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the CFO, who brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of driving high performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the group's financial operations, ensuring compliance, and leading the financial reporting function.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Manage the financial accounting, reporting, and tax-related functions across the group, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
2. Oversee both SOX compliance for the group and the annual external audit, working directly with external auditors to ensure smooth, efficient audits and adherence to regulatory standards.
3. Lead the resolution of complex technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with AIFRS and US GAAP.
4. Work closely with the CFO to support financial operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment on financial goals and performance.
6. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the organisation's growth and success.
The Ideal Candidate :
1. Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting at a senior level, with strong expertise in both AIFRS and US GAAP.
2. In-depth knowledge of SOX compliance and experience managing external audits, with a hands-on approach to ensuring smooth audit processes.
3. Expertise in resolving complex technical accounting challenges and driving financial transparency across the organisation.
4. A proactive and adaptable team player who thrives in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
6. A strategic thinker with the ability to support the CFO in driving high performance and achieving organisational goals.
