The Communications Officer will join part of a forward thinking, busy Marcomms team. You will work across a broad range of projects and campaigns, largely focused on internal communications but also some external communications and activities.
You will be expected to show experience across the full range of communications activities including writing and editing content for online and offline channels, producing and distributing electronic newsletters and using analytics to measure impact and make improvements, using content management systems to publish content to our intranet and websites, providing support with multimedia production, including video and photography.
The successful applicant will need a recognised qualification in communications to degree level, or have at least two years' experience of working in a communications environment, and will have high standards of written and spoken English.
Main duties of the job
1. Work on campaigns and initiatives for staff, providing support with communications planning, delivery and evaluation, using appropriate channels, working with the wider Communications team as required.
2. Produce content and news stories and upload them to our external websites and staff intranet.
3. Write and issue the weekly electronic newsletter for staff, gathering stories, editing, overseeing design and distribution.
4. Support with the planning and running of events for staff (both face to face and virtual).
5. Work with our in-house studio or external suppliers to produce graphics/designs for campaigns.
6. Support with multimedia production, including video and photography.

Additional Requirements
* Full driving licence and the use of a car on a daily basis.
* Ability to independently travel to multiple sites in and around Berkshire.
* Willingness to work outside of normal office hours.
