Job Description
Our client is a leading global Financial Services business. Due to internal promotion, they are looking to hire a new Director of Security Engineering, leading a team of circa 30 individuals including Managers and indirect reports. The Director of Security Engineering will be a technically trained individual, who has clearly progressed their career through technical security engineer roles, and is now holding or has deputised in a CISO / Director level position for a number of years. Experience in a fast paced, progressive, agile, and product focused organisation and industry is essential, along with a stable career history.
The Role:
1. Fortify the organisation's capability to construct secure products and services.
2. Drive our vision by delivering integrated, flexible, and scalable security solutions.
3. Provide a strong emphasis on secure product development and architecture practices.
Experience Required:
1. 7 years minimum in Cyber Security and Leadership.
2. Demonstrable experience in managing Managers.
3. Cyber Security technical background, with clear progression into a senior leadership position.
4. Experienced in successfully building and leading security teams that collaborate effectively with software and product delivery teams.
5. Employing agile practices to release high-quality, secure products within tight timelines.
6. Experience setting the vision for and leading teams in designing, building, and running end-to-end security architecture frameworks covering application and infrastructure layers.
7. Proficiency in SAST, DAST, SCA, CSPM, and Cyber Threat Modeling for secure product development.
8. Knowledge of AWS security controls and best practices, SIEM platforms, Bug Bounty Programs, Red Teaming, and Cyber Incident Response.
9. Experience presenting Cyber Risk up to Exec Committee and non-Exec Board level.
Package Offer:
1. Base Salary: £130,000 - £170,000
2. Bonus: 30%

As a Senior Leader within the CISO office, you will be expected to travel to a UK office a minimum of 1 day per month. Applicants must be currently living in the UK and hold a valid British Passport.
