You will be responsible for ensuring successful project and work-package delivery in a product context and will be responsible for the creation of packages of work for internal delivery or outsource. Where work is outsourced the role requires working in partnership with the subcontract manager to deliver the key aspects and objectives to the satisfaction of both the funding project and Thales. The Towed Array product is of significant financial and strategic value to Thales UK and demand for the product is rapidly increasing over the short to medium-term. We are seeking highly motivated and agile project professionals to join our dynamic integrated product team to manage work-packages of delivery, transformation and growth. About You You will have an extensive track- record of successfully delivering complex projects in a defence environment together with experience working in a complex, multidisciplinary and multi-site matrix organisation, with a strong technical understanding of engineering. Together with:- Bid Management experience - a proven track record of estimating and delivering successful projects in a context relevant to Thales Leading the process of structuring and planning complex projects and the tailored deployment of best practice project controls Directing bid and project activities with reference to the baseline and critical path, with a focus on proactive risk and opportunity management and controlling variance to time/cost/quality Demand/business planning principles in a project context with a focus on the reliable forecasting of resource requirements (including critical skills) and working with adjacent functions to schedule those appropriately Representing bids and projects through established governance, giving an evidence-based account of progress and distilling key risks/opportunities/support needed for Senior Management LI-ST1 In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
