This is an exciting time to join Stroud District Council’s Community Services Team as we take the next steps towards delivering our services in an asset-based community development way. This role will play a crucial part in providing support to the Community Services management team which includes Community Safety, Health & Wellbeing, Children and Young People, and Environmental services.
About the role
In this role you will work with internal colleagues, our communities, and key partners to support the delivery of our services and Council plan. You will be responsible for a small team of dedicated support officers who are instrumental in supporting the delivery of our community alarm service “Careline” and the management of our contract with Ubico.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Stroud District Community Safety Partnership which plays a pivotal role in supporting our communities to be more resilient.
This service is forward-thinking, dedicated, and community-focused. The team you’ll be joining works together to provide a wide range of services within our communities. You will play a significant role in process mapping and channel shifting projects making this service accessible to everyone.
About you
You’ll have experience of working in an environment that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills and will be passionate and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service whilst working under pressure. You’ll have a sound knowledge and experience of:
1. Working with partner organisations and stakeholders
2. You will be highly motivated and customer solution-focused.
3. You’ll be able to use your own initiative to solve problems.
