About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. The Cover Supervisor will implement pre-prepared lesson plans, maintain classroom discipline, and ensure a positive learning environment. This role is crucial in supporting the smooth operation of the school and ensuring continuity of education for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classes, ensuring students remain on task with their learning activities.
- Implement lesson plans and instructions left by absent teachers.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Support students with their learning and provide assistance as needed.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
- Assist with administrative tasks and support other school activities as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to think on your feet.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other school personnel.
