Senior Cost Accountant Annual Salary: Up to £50,000 Location: Blackburn Job Type: Full-time A market leading manufacturing business is experiencing an exciting time of growth and are on the lookout for a talented and ambitious Senior Cost Accountant. This role is perfect for someone with a manufacturing background who is proactive, solutions-oriented, and ready to drive financial excellence within our dynamic company. You will play a crucial role in financial planning and reporting, working closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial performance and support strategic decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities: Oversee financial planning, reporting processes, and procedures. Work closely with the Head of Finance to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance. Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of the general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Ensure compliance with tax laws and adherence to group reporting standards. Act as a finance business partner to Department Heads, supporting and driving finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain responsibility for a range of financial operations within the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting, tax compliance, and general financial management. Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in managing general ledgers, fixed assets, AR, and AP. Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations. Proactive and solutions-oriented with exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive financial projects and initiatives.
