About the Role and our Ideal Candidate
As a Workforce Insight Analyst you will provide data which is easy to access and can be used to support workforce planning. You will also complete statutory returns on behalf of Kingston and Sutton Councils, develop a range of ad hoc reports as requested by senior leaders across the HR & OD service, to support large scale change initiatives, and support the completion of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
We are looking for someone with proven experience of data analysis and producing reports to inform decision making. This includes developing and maintaining insightful dashboards, applying effective data analysis techniques and research methodologies. You will also need experience of using relational databases and a range of reporting tools including Business Objects. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to present findings, dashboards and reports to stakeholders, in a clear and engaging manner.
Your strong organisation and communication skills, combined with your ability to use your initiative and passion for working with data, will be integral to your success in this role. About Us
We are an award winning HR Shared Service, because people are at the heart of everything we do. This is an exciting opportunity to join our small Reward & Insight team, producing a range of data for the Royal Borough of Kingston, the London Borough of Sutton, and a range of neighbouring partners and schools who buy our Payroll and HR services.
The Strategic Reward & Insight team comprises a Strategic Lead, two Workforce Analysts, and a Reward and Insight Associate. The team is responsible for the production of workforce reports, liaising with customers and stakeholders to ensure their data requirements are met and that the data provided is accurate and easily understood. The data provided by the team is integral to helping our organisations make key strategic decisions, aligned to corporate priorities.
The team uses iTrent and Business Objects to deliver interesting and varied work. As well as producing a range of people reports, the team lead on benchmarking exercises to help design employee benefits packages, and submit several large workforce returns each year, which includes the Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set, and the Children’s Social Worker returns. Relationship building is an important aspect of working in this team as conversations are held with internal and external stakeholders to help understand their requirements, and create reports that meet their needs.
