Our client based on the outskirts of Keighley is looking to recruit a Works Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis.
OVERVEIW Responsible for organising and monitoring workflow: improving employee efficiency and a safe working environment.
WORKS SUPERVISOR DUTIES.
• Delegation of tasks to ensure that production deadlines are met.
• Organising production sequencing to maximize efficacy on the factory floor in line with the delivery requirement
• Monitors and reports on performance to the Managing Director and Operations Manager.
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce cost with relevance to product design, component selection.
• Addresses production problems as they arise; organizes repair replacement of faulty equipment.
• Responsible for retraining / discipline employees that fail to perform or violate company policies. Recruitment and training.
• Establish and maintain close relationships with other departments particularly design and purchasing.
• Provision of a safe working environment and adherence to safe working practices.
SKILLS
• Experience /working knowledge of the following: fabrication and welding., horizontal boring radial drilling, milling centre lathe turning, milling, surface preparation and painting, hydraulic mechanical assembly, Leadership delegation, ability to work under pressure, computer literacy, communication skills, Electronics applied to the control of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Salary - £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
