We are looking for a dynamic individual who will have responsibility and accountability for the management of nursing staff in the department. As a senior clinical leader in the team, you will be expected to model high standards, visibly demonstrating a high-quality service. You will take a lead role in reviewing the roles of nursing and AHPs and associated support staff to ensure service needs are met now and in the future. In doing so you will ensure a robust training and education infrastructure is in place to future proof the specialism and attract new nurses and AHPs into Occupational Health. You will provide strong clinical leadership through a visible presence and provide support, advice and assistance to staff and users of the service. You will play a key role in the establishment and oversight of clinical policies and procedures to support the service moving towards and sustaining SEQOHS accreditation. Main duties of the job We are looking for candidates to have substantial experience within Occupational Health and have a recognised Occupational Health qualification. The post holder will have in-depth specialist knowledge of Occupational Health and experience of quality improvement methods with a proven track record for implementing and maintaining change. Excellent communication and team working skills and a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential as is a drive to deliver Occupational Health differently, the ability to to challenge old ways of thinking and the ambition to continuously improve the service ultimately striving for SEQOHS accreditation and an exemplar service. The successful candidate will also have dedicated time allocated for caseload management to maintain their Occupational Health skills.
