The role also involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the quality control and metrology departments, assisting in maintaining seamless operations. Additionally, the role requires clear and effective communication of quality assurance information, ensuring that all relevant updates and findings are promptly relayed to supervisors and managers. Key Responsibilities: Component Inspection The role involves conducting thorough inspections of optical components to ensure compliance with industry standards. This includes verifying surface quality characteristics of optical components against specified requirements. The individual must interpret technical drawings and documentation, identify non-conformities, and document inspection results accurately. They are also responsible for maintaining adherence to strict quality assurance protocols. SAP Database The role includes utilising the SAP database interface to manage and maintain accurate records of stock control. This involves entering, updating, and retrieving data to support operational and reporting needs. The individual is responsible for navigating the system to track component statuses and job tracking. They must also identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring information is past on to supervisors appropriately. Administration Provide comprehensive administrative support to various departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Responsibilities include accurately entering and updating data in databases and spreadsheets, maintaining organised and up-to-date records. The role also involves preparing, editing, and formatting documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite or other relevant software tools. The individual must ensure a high standard of accuracy and professionalism in all administrative tasks, supporting team productivity and operational goals Qualifications: Education: •GCSE Maths, English (C or above) or equivalent.
