A new position has become available for an ambitious and career-focused Fee Earning Conveyancer. The successful candidate will be a highly organised and analytical individual with a strong attention to detail and extensive experience within this position.
Key responsibilities:
1. Produce documents and deal with correspondence.
2. Give instructions to support staff verbally and via digital dictation.
3. Communicate with clients to gather information to progress their case via email, letter, telephone, and in person.
4. Open and close files in accordance with the firm's stated procedures.
5. Manage a full and varied Residential Conveyancing caseload, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and technical Residential Conveyancing matters.
6. Undertake fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the wider team.
7. Liaise directly with clients, estate agents, and lenders.
8. Develop new relationships with third-party referrers or repeat referrers.
9. Handle financial issues such as costing files, ensuring payments on account are made, credit control measures are followed, and incoming and outgoing payments are recorded properly on the firm's accounts package.
10. Generate a fee income in line with agreed targets.
Person Specifications:
1. 12 months minimum Fee Earning experience in the field of residential conveyancing.
2. Ability and confidence to run the full conveyancing process.
3. Demonstrated detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixed residential property conveyancing caseload with minimum supervision.
4. Excellent computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of packages including Word and Excel.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
7. Problem-solving, a positive and friendly team player, and a 'can do' attitude, particularly in relation to digital ways of working.
Our successful candidate will be a very personable, energetic, and confident individual who has excellent administration and organisation skills.
