Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for either a Professional Midwifery or Professional Nurse Advocate to lead on the delivery, strategy and planning of the Professional Advocate role across the Women & Children's Division which covers Midwifery, Neonatal, Gynaecology and Children's services. It provides the post holder the opportunity to enhance and support the wellbeing of our staff with the aim to support and improve retention, job satisfaction and unit culture, but also have an impact on clinical outcomes and patient safety. Main duties of the job The post holder will support the continuous improvement process of the "A-EQUIP" model across the Midwifery and Nursing services to ensure it becomes an intrinsic part of everyone's job, every day in all parts of the system (NHS England 2016). You should be a visible role model with the ability to develop, deliver, and embed Restorative Clinical Supervision (RCS) in collaboration with other Professional Midwifery/Nursing Advocates and clinical teams in our service. To support midwives and nurses to identify their own personal action for quality improvement if required. Use their understanding of personal and professional resilience and support others to develop this attribute.
