The Role
The post holder will provide an excellent tenancy and estate management service across the district, for a ‘patch’ of properties, that is customer focussed and visible. The Housing Officer role contributes to wider service priorities such as tenancy sustainment, community engagement, and the promotion of decent, safe homes in healthy communities, whilst also delivering effective tenancy management and enforcement.
Previous experience of working with the public in a similar capacity is essential.
This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. This post is based at Lancaster Town Hall, and hybrid working would be available dependent on the needs of the service.
Flexible working friendly – we offer hybrid working, a generous flexi-time scheme, and opportunity to work with your team to establish working hours to enable you to maximise your work-life balance.
A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder will be required to visit multiple sites across the district, often in areas without public transport alternatives. As a result you will be required to sign up to the authorised external DVLA driving licence validation organisation that we use to manage and monitor our employees’ driving licence data.
The successful applicant will be subject to a basic clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
