Purpose of Position
\nThe Head of Procurement is a new role responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise wide procurement strategy in a £2bn turnover company to support the business’s objectives including defining the purchasing policy and processes and managing a high performing team of procurement experts.
Key Tasks / Areas of Responsibility
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute an enterprise wide procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, compliance, risk mitigation, supplier relationship management and sustainability.
2. Category Management: Lead the development and implementation of category management strategies across all business spend categories, identifying opportunities for cost savings, consolidation, and value creation.
