ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a 44-year-old male adult living in my home in Rainworth. I have learning difficulties and Kanner autism, and I require 2 to 1 support throughout the day and support at night. I enjoy spending time in my own home and my garden, as well as going on days out and spending time at my mum’s house.
The role will involve working alongside my established team of personal assistants to understand my behaviors and know how to react accordingly. You will assist with making safe decisions when carrying out daily duties, supporting me with day-to-day living, my emotional well-being, personal care (including continence care, bathing, shaving), cooking, cleaning, and accessing the community.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will live locally, be flexible, patient, have a calm presence, and a genuine caring nature. You must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home.
You must be able to drive a car; I have my own mobility vehicle which you will be required to drive.
As this is a bank full-time position, you need to be flexible to cover various hours during the daytime and sleep-ins at night. A rota will be planned and agreed in advance.
The hourly rate of pay is £11.44 per hour, and all training is paid for, including the hours to complete the necessary training. An in-depth training package will be delivered to my team to support you in understanding how to care for me and meet my needs.
BENEFITS
In return for your dedication, you’ll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:
* 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
* Company pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the scheme rules.
* Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan after successful completion of the probation period.
* Free training and development for all roles.
