Are you ready to drive sustainable change and make a real impact in your community? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Business Analyst to join our Transformation Unit. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of delivering strategic change across the council's portfolio.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the successful delivery of transformation projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and achieving efficiencies.
2. Conduct extensive and detailed data analysis to understand the current/baseline position, assess opportunities for change, and inform evidence-based decision-making and service redesign.
3. Play a critical role in the discovery and design phases of our change management framework, identifying and quantifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
4. Conduct diagnostic exercises across and within service areas to identify and quantify the business problems we are trying to solve.
5. Support the development of business cases and opportunity assessments to evidence the justification of change initiatives.
6. Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical solutions.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships to facilitate effective communication and cooperation.
About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, experience and skills:
1. Proven experience as a Business Analyst or transferable experience in a similar analytical role.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, consultancy skills, or experience, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance.
4. Experience in supporting change projects and driving transformation initiatives.
5. A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
6. Familiarity with working within a political organisation and understanding its decision-making processes.
7. Experience in redesigning services in organisations where customer demand shapes the services provided.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
