Job Description
This is a hands on role, work collaboratively with the Head of HR & Site Director to provide a pro-active, value-add HR service, by assisting the management team and our people through professional, commercial, and pragmatic HR support & guidance. The HR Manager will work collaboratively with UK Region & Group HR supporting HR activities at site and across the UK.
Qualifications
* Working closely with the Site Director & Head of HR to implement robust people plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
* Workforce planning including working with Site Function Managers, to understand staff requirements, and the Site Financial Accountant, to ensure the budget and headcount is aligned.
* Coordinate the entire recruitment life cycle, taking responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns from requisition approval to offer for both permanent and temporary requirements (agency staff).
* Oversee the induction and on-boarding process, facilitating a seamless integration of new hires into the business with new joiner meetings and ensure probation review meetings are completed, addressing any issues, and escalating where appropriate.
* Support the development of common reporting processes and key performance indicators such as absences, headcount, turnover, performance reviews, reward and tracking of ER issues. Providing managers accurate analysis to support decision-making.
* Development of supporting documents and templates covering all aspects of HR activity, including but not limited to handbooks, process maps, manager guides, letter templates etc.
* Maintain all employee records on HR systems, including but not limited to changes to contracts, salary reviews, pay rates, training, and any other information that is relevant to this system (E-file and HRIS), ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
* Support sites to effectively manage their local Employee Forum and maintain a harmonious employee relations environment.
* Ensure employment relations issues are dealt with fairly and pragmatically. Identifying any potential risks to the business, maintaining thorough investigations are conducted, fully considering the right course of action, and identifying areas for improvement.
* Support and coach line managers to effectively manage employee relations issues that arise relating to complex discipline, grievance, attendance, and performance management matters.
* Provide guidance and support to line managers to facilitate and monitor the annual performance review process (EDR) and provide advice, guidance, and training where necessary. Monitor the completion and quality of EDR’s across the site and collate the identified development needs.
* Support & lead HR projects as assigned arising from business improvement & legislative changes
* Identify areas for organizational development and work with the managers to implement changes such as restructuring & succession planning.
* Lead on HR Process Improvement
* Collaborate with wider HR Team across the UK and Group
* Support managers in coaching and improving employee performance
* Co-ordinate wellbeing activities across the site
