Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project & Installation Coordinatorto join their head office team in Boroughbridge.
Role
The Project & Installation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the installation process, from initial planning to final completion and multiple contracts at various stages of completion. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal team members, to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Project & Installation Coordinator Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with sales and aftersales teams to plan installation schedules and prioritise tasks.
* Create and maintain project plans and timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
* Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
* Assign tasks to engineers and provide guidance and support as needed.
* Oversee the installation process to ensure quality and consistency of work.
* Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Conduct site visits and post-installation inspections to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Communicate project updates and issues to stakeholders.
* Provide on-site management of installations to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within agreed budgets.
* Ensure that the commissioning, acceptance, and training of project installations are carried out to set standards to finalise closure of the installation project.
* Prioritise and organise urgent project installations when required.
Project & Installation Coordinator Experience Required
Desirable:
* Experience working in the waste, environmental or other sectors with similar requirements and large capital equipment.
* Degree level education in Engineering or similar subject
Essential Experience:
* Experience of using engineering principles and good technical knowledge of process/bulk handling systems.
* Ability to manipulate drawings using AutoCAD and solid works
* Microsoft packages such as project, excel, word and ERP/CRM systems.
* Preparing and reviewing detailed documents (e.g., costing sheets, quotes, installation plans)
* Previous experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities including identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Mechanical and electrical qualifications required.
* Able to prioritise, schedule tasks and organise resources, ensuring that budgets and schedules are maintained to set requirements and deadlines.
* Ability to interpret schematics, manuals, drawings, and other specification documents.
* Full UK driving licence
Additional Package Information:
* 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00-15:30 (45 mins for lunch each day)
* 21 days’ holiday pro rata (January – December holiday year) plus your birthday and bank holidays. This will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 25 days’ holiday plus birthday and bank holidays.
