We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Clinical Lead to join our specialist eating disorder inpatient service in High Wycombe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse with expertise in eating disorders who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and leading a dedicated team to deliver excellence in a clinical setting.
As a Clinical Lead, you will be at the heart of our 14-bed specialist service for adults with eating disorders, working with an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to combine clinical leadership with operational management, all while making a positive difference in the lives of patients and staff alike.

About the Role
As Clinical Lead, the role offers the opportunity to make a real difference, oversee the delivery of exceptional care, and shape the development of clinical services, while also offering you opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
1. Lead and manage the clinical services within the hospital, ensuring high standards of care are met and maintained across all clinical areas.
2. Deputise for the Hospital Director in their absence and contribute to the development of the hospital’s clinical and operational strategy.
3. Ensure the clinical services business plan is delivered effectively, with efficient management of staffing, budgets, resources, and equipment.
4. Serve as a visible role model, mentor, and leader to inspire the team, fostering a culture of learning, development, and excellence in clinical practice.
5. Work in partnership with the MDT to design and implement personalized care packages for patients with eating disorders.
Staff Management
1. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix, including rota management, sickness and absence management, and annual leave/training arrangements.
2. Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing staff, ensuring professional development through CPD and career pathways.
3. Lead on recruitment and retention strategies, aiming to reduce turnover and enhance staff engagement.
4. Implement talent mapping, succession planning, and reward strategies to create a motivated, highly skilled workforce.
Clinical Governance & Compliance
1. Oversee the clinical governance framework, ensuring that all clinical interventions align with best practices and regulatory standards.
2. Lead on incident reporting, ensuring timely investigations and corrective actions are taken to improve patient safety and care.
3. Ensure regulatory compliance with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and other relevant standards.
4. Contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures that maintain the highest standards of care.
5. Lead clinical audits, investigate complaints, and ensure continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
1. NMC registration (RMN or RNLD) with proven experience in eating disorder services or similar clinical environments.
2. Strong leadership experience in clinical settings, with the ability to lead a team and make effective decisions in a dynamic environment.
3. Deep understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and regulatory frameworks.
4. Proven ability to mentor, support, and develop multidisciplinary teams to achieve high levels of clinical excellence.
5. A forward-thinking, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and challenges.
6. A genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient care and driving continuous improvement within your team.
