Business Analyst - CRM and Sales Management

Overview
As our Business Analyst, your natural curiosity and excellent verbal and written communications skills - particularly asking the right questions to draw out requirements, calling out interdependencies and implications, and documenting needs clearly and concisely - are what provides the foundations for a constantly evolving CRM platform.
Working closely with the Product Owner and wider Salesforce team, you will:
1. Lead requirements-gathering sessions
2. Produce detailed analysis from your understanding of the need
3. Translate these into clear and concise acceptance criteria
4. Review proposed technical solutions to identify any critical unmet needs
You will support a roadmap of recommendations, plan and prioritize the agreed work areas, make technical recommendations on implementation, and assist in overseeing scrum activities to continuously enhance the CRM system.
This role is location-agnostic with various options for flexible working arrangements. The rest of the UK team is split between Ipswich and London and occasional travel to the office will be required.
How you'll make an impact
1. Own all new incoming enhancement and development requests, collecting the information required for the Product Owner to assess priority and confirm progression
2. Undertake detailed analysis to crystallise the need, gather background information, and identify interdependencies (business process or system implications)
3. Translate business requirements into User Stories, providing acceptance criteria, technical and functional specifications, and other project artifacts, as needed, to engage technical staff and partners in solution development and quality assurance.
4. Document and maintain work items in DevOps, ensuring content and information is kept up to date and organised appropriately
5. Communicate and align with key stakeholders, system admins, product owners, and solution architects on requirements and proposed solutions - to ensure the endpoint reached meets the need described (including leading product demos to gather feedback)
6. Work with the project team to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT); support test case creation, execution and remediation activities in partnership with the wider team
About You
1. Proven experience with demonstrable responsibility and impact in business analysis, solution architecture, or product management
2. Experience in requirements elicitation and identifying business or technical interdependencies
3. Comfortable condensing complex requirements into concise, unambiguous acceptance criteria to provide information needed to identify solution
4. Understanding of the agile delivery process - knowledge of DevOps beneficial
5. Experience leading or contributing to projects that involve cross-functional teams in the development of technical solutions
6. Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
7. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
9. Ability to drive results through collaboration, influence, relationship-building, and teamwork
10. Salesforce expertise, or translatable experience working with other CRM platforms, including system administration, user setup and maintenance, role hierarchy, profiles & permissions, security, page layouts, objects, fields, workflow, approval processes, formulas, queues, assignment rules, and data management.
11. Certification in Product Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, or Scrum/Agile
12. Background in reinsurance, insurance, or financial services
