Person Specification Education Essential Registered Midwife Evidence of continuing post registration education and development Master's degree in a relevant subject area or working towards this Registered Educated to degree level in relevant subject area SSSA Practice Assessor/ Mentorship qualification Desirable Has attained or is working towards a management qualification. Leadership qualification or equivalent experience Experience Essential Significant post registration experience in a range of settings including intrapartum care Have substantial experience of managing a ward or team (at Band 7 level or above) Practice development and innovation Desirable Project management experience Experience in proactively engaging service users/Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) Skills Essential Confident in all midwifery skills Excellent leadership skills Good understanding of current issues and challenges (regional / national) relating to maternity services. Proven experience in supervision of trained staff Evidence of applying current research to practice. Able to demonstrate a working knowledge in standard setting and quality management.
