JOB TITLE: Lead UX / Product Designer
SALARY: £76,194 - £89,640
LOCATION: Halifax or Leeds or Manchester
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.
About the opportunity
We're looking for someone to lead and work as part of a design team in the Homes / Mortgages Platform at LBG. You'll be defining the customer experience for the largest mortgage lender in the UK.
You will give guidance to stakeholders, development teams and other UX / Product Designers, working alongside and leading a design team. You will take full ownership of their output, providing rationale for design decisions and confidently present their work back to stakeholders.
It'll be your role to:
* Shape and implement experience strategy for the Homes / Mortgages platform
* Have a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and expectations
* Understand goals and challenges in the context of business and engineering priorities
* Work with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy
* Engage with leadership to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes
* Provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary designers to support decision-making, delivery and team culture
* Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members
What you'll need
* Extensive and demonstrable experience within User Experience design/Product Design
* Experience leading teams
* Strong stakeholder negation skills
* A strong strategic vision that aligns well to the overall business strategy
* A keen eye for detail, expressed through amazing Figma designs
* A personality that is happy to question the status quo and doesn't accept "good enough" as an answer long term
