King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking to appoint a motivated, organised and committed Catering Assistant with good communication skills to join our friendly, experienced team. You should possess good cooking skills, excellent customer service and ability to work as part of an integrated team and on your own if necessary. Previous experience of working in a school kitchen would be ideal but not an essential requirement. Duties to include skilled cooking and preparation; counter service, general kitchen and dining room duties e.g. washing up, setting up and clearing away service points. Health and Safety knowledge would also be advantageous. Working hours are 25 hours per week from the beginning of September to Whitsun and 20 hours per week from Whitsun to end of August. Times would be 9.00am – 2.00pm, term time only although there is scope to work additional hours at school events.
