We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the facilities team at The Bolney Estate, which is part of the Freixenet Copestick group.
The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring cleanliness, aesthetics, functionality, and safety of our Bolney Wine Estate. This position supports the Office Assistant, Front of House, Production & Winemakers by performing routine repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of the buildings and outdoor spaces whilst being discreet with a commitment to the delivery of high-quality proactive workmanship in a commercial setting.Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs across the buildings and grounds
Carry out essential repairs such as to fixtures & fittings and painting and decorating
Carry out outdoor maintenance tasksincluding gardening and weeding
Basic plumbing, such as fixing leaks, unblocking drains and installing fixtures
Basic Carpentry such as repairing doors and cabinetry
Minor electrical works including replacement of light fittings & troubleshooting of issues
Create and maintain a site maintenance inventory
Assist with site cleaning, when required
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Respond to immediate site needs and urgent repair/maintenance requirements
Maintain the aesthetics of the site to a high standard
Support the Office Assistant and Front of House, where required
Maintenance & servicing of tools, quad bike and equipment to keep in good working order
Follow all site health and safety protocols
Any other tasks that are required in line with the rolePerson SpecificationMultiskilled & reliable operative with a can do attitude, who is happy to suggest and source outside alternatives when the task required
Diverse range of maintenance and repair skills
Proactive individual who can tackle site requirements efficiently and discreetly
Discreet individual being aware of customer facing times and areas
Good understanding of diverse range of site requirements taking into account production, winery, front of house areas, as well as our onsite kitchen garden
Be able to work unsupervised
