Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainable Housing Support Officer to join our team in Enfield. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £22.39 via an umbrella company or £18.09 PAYE.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a proactive and compassionate professional to join the Street Homelessness Accommodation Team, providing vital housing support services across supported housing projects, including those housed in the Private Rented Sector. In this role, you will deliver proactive support to applicants with multiple and complex needs, helping them maintain accommodation and sustain tenancies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide advice and support services to vulnerable clients, focusing on tenancy sustainment and independent living skills.
2. Carry a caseload of customers, offering ongoing support and direction through a casework management approach.
3. Collaborate with internal and external agencies to ensure clients have access to a wide range of services that meet their needs.
4. Develop and implement Sustainable Housing Support Plans tailored to individual service users.
5. Support customers in maximising their income through debt reduction, obtaining paid work, and accessing benefits.
6. Establish and sustain effective working relationships with service users, encouraging positive change.
7. Respond to day-to-day enquiries and emergencies from customers or partner agencies.
8. Promote peer involvement and support the delivery of peer-led activities and project initiatives.
9. Ensure service user documentation is up-to-date and data is accurately maintained across IT systems.
Essential Criteria:
1. Proven ability to assess, design, plan, and implement Sustainable Housing Support Plans.
2. Experience working within a Local Authority setting.
3. Strong organisational and case management skills.
4. Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload effectively.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
