Conrad Consulting are pleased to be working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation for encompassing Architecture, Surveying & Project Management within various sectors including residential, healthcare and educational. They are currently looking to source an Associate Architect to join them in their office based in Birmingham city centre.
As the Associate Architect you will be responsible for a range of important duties. You will take charge of architectural design, co-ordination of the Design Team & contract administration for assigned projects as well as key commercial activities and Business Development to name a few.
Key to the Associate Architect role is a focus on “delivery” and playing an active, mentoring and lead role in the delivery of the technical work - promoting and displaying technical competency in both BIM and Revit. As such, you will be expected to be able to demonstrate previous experience to support this.
As this practice operates within a wide range of sectors, the successful Associate Architect will gain exposure to varying scales of notable projects which will help you to develop your career substantially.
Associate Architect Essential Requirements:
1. ARB/RIBA Qualified Architect
2. A minimum of 15 years' experience in similar positions
3. Project experience across all RIBA work stages
4. Project running, technical knowledge of construction, planning and building regulations experience is essential
5. A good working knowledge and experience of negotiating and managing the development of a construction project
6. Experience of negotiating and managing all aspects of architectural and construction contracts, using traditional, partnering, design & build and other appropriate methods
7. You will also recognise the significance of the post construction aspects of the project – Soft Landings, etc.
8. Technical competency in both BIM and REVIT.
9. Strong portfolio showing previous project work
