ESP Global Services are currently recruiting a Specialist Engineer to join our team in Manchester. This role will cover ESP locations across the country and will also have requirements to travel for business. We are a managed service provider for IT support and infrastructure solutions where we support clients, worldwide, 24/7. As the Specialist Engineer, you will work as part of the ESP Global Services team to provide on-site support for all components of the airport passenger processing system within agreed contractual service level agreements. We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and increasing their existing knowledge, whilst delivering exceptional customer service. A snapshot of what you will be doing: Provide first, second and third-line support for specialist equipment across the ESP estate. Provide route cause analysis on repeat incidents to provide permanent fix. Form part of the out of hours on call roster for ESP engineer escalations and provide telephone support; site attendance may be required. Proactive Maintenance Activity & Visual checks: Carry out regular "floor-walking" and pro-active line of sight checks to identify and resolve any issues associated with the specialist equipment, also discussing with the officers daily to ensure they do not have any issues. Provide incident management on escalations and manage incidents between VB and onsite ESP engineers to completion. Assist ESP office location with the management of spare stock. Provide on-site support and training for ESP locations. Analysis of fault data within the ticket processing application. Manage escalations to and from the customer. Working hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm. What are we looking for? 3-5 years' experience required in a mechanical operations/IT field engineer role. Good knowledge and experience in IT hardware, Microsoft Desktop software & network fundamentals. Strong diagnostics and trouble shooting skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. SC clearance will need to be obtained if not already cleared to carry out the role. Valid UK Passport. Full UK Driving Licence. Full Training will be provided for the successful candidate. Company car also included and subject to BIK. Physical Requirements: Able to lift or push 20-50 pounds of equipment if needed. Able to stand or kneel for extended periods of time. Able to use mechanical tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammers & drills).
