Registered Manager – Children's Residential Service

About the Role

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager to establish and oversee a new Children’s Residential Home in the Croydon/Purley area.

Key Responsibilities:
*
Lead the registration process for the new home, ensuring compliance with all OFSTED requirements.
*
Manage all aspects of the residential service, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
*
Develop and maintain policies and procedures in line with Children’s Home regulations and Quality Standards.
*
Foster a nurturing, safe, and empowering environment for children and young people.
*
Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities and families.
*
Ensure the home delivers high-quality care that meets or exceeds regulatory standards.
Essential Requirements:
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services (or willingness to complete within six months of employment).
*
At least two years of experience supervising and managing staff in a residential children’s setting.
*
Comprehensive understanding of Children’s Homes regulations, OFSTED requirements, and related legislation.
*
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining high standards of care.
*
Enhanced DBS clearance (required prior to starting the role).
*
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
Schedule:
*
Full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility for occasional out-of-hours requirements.

Standard 8-hour shifts, with the possibility of additional hours based on service needs.
