Job Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support: Remote support of customers via telephone and using remote support software to diagnose problems, identify user issues, monitor systems, and carry out configuration changes.
2. Field Service: Visiting sites to carry out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance following a machine failure, installation of new equipment and installation of upgrades, working alone or as part of a team.
3. Implementation/Training: Providing excellent user software and hardware application training post installation using a defined training programme to ensure the customer has the skills to maximise productivity.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
2. Apprentice trained in an engineering discipline.
3. Qualified in electrical engineering (preferably to HNC level).
4. Preferably experience working as a field service engineer.
5. Full UK Driving Licence.
Required Capabilities:
1. Electro/mechanical fault finding ability (electrical bias).
2. Fault-finding skills on hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
3. PLC fault-finding skills (interrogate PLC and make minor alterations).
4. Excellent communication skills & decision making.
5. Planning and organising & reporting & administration IT skills.
6. Be flexible to travel away from home (UK and international stay away).
Compensation and Benefits:
Good basic salary up to £50,000 with overtime OTE £80,000 pa plus.
Working Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
Daily/Weekly & weekend overtime payments.
