What We’re Looking For:
We need someone with expert knowledge in a healthcare area of specialism within an Adult Mental Health service and the ability to use expert advice/knowledge when interacting on health and social care subjects.
This post is funded by, and accountable to, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) ,however asa number ofservices that report into this role are joint funded by the respective Local Authority, some responsibilities and activities are carried out in line with policies from both organisations.
This role oversees the operation of designated Community Mental Health Services for Adults (the Services) in the Locality on behalf of BHFT and the respective Local Authority.See organisation chart.
As aSenior Service Manager,you'll:
Ensurethat services are delivered whilst meeting statutory requirements forthe Local Authorityand key performance targets for BHFT.
Participateas a member of the Senior Management Team inthe Locality,to deliver all aspects of mental health service to the highest quality and standardswith available resources.
Workautonomously andhave the freedom totake action, advise and implementnew ideasand projects within the service, whilst ensuring that the fundamental service purpose and delivery is notimpacted
Providehigh levelandcomplex professional and managerial advice, guidance and instruction as requested and required by the multi-disciplinary team.
Deputisefor the Locality Manager/Head of Serviceas required.
BuildandMaintaineffective relationships withappropriate staffacross both organisationsas well as with system stakeholders within Frimley ICS, Primary Care networks and CCG.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Masters Degree in health/social care or equivalent qualification/experience as well as evidence of CPD, or specialist training.
• Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and the ability to engage clinicians and other stakeholder groups in change, development and improvement
• Demonstrable experience of managing difficult situations with service users that have complex mental health conditions and challenging behaviours
