Overview of the job role The Director of Finance will have responsibility for development and implementation of Mountbattens financial strategy to enable the organisation to achieve its vision and provide services to our local community. Working with the Chief Executive Officer, Trustees and the Senior Management Team (SMT) the person will ensure effective financial planning and the flow of timely and accurate information and analysis to key stakeholders as required. As a member of the SMT this role will also contribute to the wider strategic leadership and operational management of Mountbatten hospice group, including the development of robust plans for income generation and future growth. The postholder will also have responsibility for the Finance Team and all aspects of operational financial management and accountancy functions across the Group, ensuring day to day operations and reporting are completed to a high standard in line with financial procedures and in a timely manner. This includes overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems, ensuring that regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met for Mountbatten's financial affairs including as a charitable body, trading company and regulated healthcare provider.
