Job overview
The Senior Marketing & Recruitment Officer (Digital) will be responsible for supporting all digital marketing and recruitment activity for the Division of Education & Training, bringing their technical expertise and experience to support each stage of the applicant journey and a wide variety of digital channels and tools.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead on the development of up-to-date processes and procedures to ensure consistency and clarity across all areas of digital marketing activity.
2. Support the maintenance of an accurate, up-to-date database of marketing contacts.
3. Proactively support the maintenance and development of the Education & Training website.
4. Develop and oversee a suite of automation journeys, continuously monitoring performance to optimise efficacy.
5. Take a lead on briefing, monitoring and evaluating digital advertising campaigns.
6. Support campaign activity across a range of digital channels, including web, email and social media.
7. Undertake digital graphic design work as required.
8. Contribute to the management of shared inboxes and social media accounts.
9. Produce and present regular analysis and reporting on digital marketing activity.
10. Support various high-priority digital projects, including the acquisition and implementation of a new CRM System.
11. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Student Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions team.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Google Analytics Certification
* Professional qualification or evidence of further training / development in digital marketing
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar digital marketing or communications role
* Experience working with a range of digital marketing tools and systems
* Experience of using a CRM System, including automated journeys
* Experience of supporting a website, using a CMS and appropriate analytics and tracking tools
* Experience of working with social media scheduling and analytics tools
* Experience of working within the education and training sector
* Experience of working with external agencies, e.g. advertising and web
Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Data literate, able to review / assess / make recommendations as a result of analysis
* Able to produce and edit email campaigns and automations using email software
* Able to build web pages, forms and other content via CMS
* Able to produce print materials using design software, e.g. Adobe/Canva
* Multitasker able to work across multiple projects to tight timescales
Knowledge
* Understanding of the latest developments and trends in digital marketing
* Understanding of data protection legislation and its implications for digital marketing practices
* Understanding of key developments and trends in the Higher Education sector
* Understanding of key developments and trends in the Health and Care Sector
