Head of Commercial
Sheffield or Leeds based - Hybrid
£80k-90k basic + package
We are partnering with a business who have a unique opportunity for someone to help build and grow a commercial function.
A forward thinking business who are going from strength to strength who operate across the IT space. A significant role leading the teams across; bids, commercial, compliance & contracts.
This would suit someone who has extensive knowledge in SAAS or IP - and working on complex negotiations.
The role:
* Building out a new team and make sure you are driving growth and success.
* Act as a trusted commercial adviser providing comprehensive commercial guidance to the deal leadership team.
* Design & implement winning commercial strategies across the different departments.
* Get involved & provide oversight for the biggest framework bids & proposals.
* Identify the risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
* Define and develop the correlation between the contractual terms, the pricing structure and the solution.
* Confidently draft bespoke contracts independently of legal
The Person:
* Strong career within the IT & Outsourcing sector is essential to this role.
* Extensive customer facing experience will be required. This is not a supplier facing role.
* Successful track record of strong stakeholder management and problem solving.
* Proven track record of 10+ years leading successful commercial/contracts/bids teams.
* Able to thrive in a dynamic, intense, performance-driven culture. Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
* Delivers clear, easy to understand messages; compelling to listen to and able to inspire confidence.
