As a Clinical Team Assistant, you would be responsible for intake. You will assist Clinical Managers and support the clinical staff to improve communication and ensure quality patient care. Acts as the key link between clinicians and clinical managers. The schedule for this position is Part-time, 24 hours per week, 8 am-5:00 pm.
What will you be doing:
* Assures scheduling is done on a timely basis (daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays).
* Ensures appropriate assignment of new admissions and resumptions of care in consultation with managers.
* Adjust schedule to meet expected productivity.
* Projects daily staffing needs.
* Coordinates staff’s daily workload, assuring continuity of care.
* Serves as a scheduling resource to team members, Intake Department and patients.
* Provides clerical support to clinical managers and clinical staff (i.e., meeting minutes, letters, flyers, faxing, etc.).
* Assures service satisfaction through appropriate communication with staff, patients and Intake Department.
* Communicates with per diem and contract staff to update availability.
* Projects monthly work schedules for nurses and updates scheduling screen with oversight of Clinical Managers.
What we're looking for in you:
* High school or greater education, AS in Secretarial Science preferred.
* Minimum of two years of office (clerical) related experience required, in a health care setting strongly preferred.
* Prior experience as multi-disciplinary scheduler preferred.
* Strong proficiency in the English language.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent computer and keyboarding skills required.
* Congenial and positive attitude.
* Able to function cooperatively as a team member.
* Highly organized, flexible and dependable.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and meet the agency's attendance requirements.
* Able to sit for prolonged periods (usually at computer).
