Brief Description
To provide a comprehensive monitoring and control of the stations' systems, providing accurate information to all interested parties as appropriate. Please be aware this role holds a mandatory requirement for the incumbent to hold valid security vetting clearance. Any offer will be conditional on the successful candidate obtaining clearance prior to a start date being agreed.

About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide regular updates on train and station services to all station users using the information systems available.
2. Update station staff and Train Operating Companies (TOCs) on potential service disruption.
3. Provide public safety and security information to all station users on a regular basis.
4. Operate and maintain station systems and equipment including fire panels, CCTV, car park equipment and customer help points.
5. Report equipment faults to the appropriate system owner/maintainer in a timely manner, maintaining a record of each fault occurrence.
6. Liaise with Signalling Centres and TOCs regarding train services, maintaining a log of occurrences.
7. Assist the station team and perform other duties in light of operational requirements.
8. Fulfil allocated duties as prescribed within Emergency Plans.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
1. Command of English language, both written and oral with a clear and concise speaking voice.
2. Experience of working in a customer facing environment.
3. Experience of working effectively as part of a team.
4. Experience of processing and prioritising complex information in a time-pressured environment.
Desirable
1. Ability to demonstrate a proactive concern for accuracy and clarity.
2. Understanding of train operating companies services and UK railway geography.
