Do you have experience in the management of the creation, product development, sourcing and delivery of branded products?
Looking for a role where you support the Heads of Buying and C&E in the briefing and development of the Regatta, Dare2B, Professional and Craghoppers footwear and C&E?
If so, we have an opportunity for a Junior Category Manager – Footwear, C&E to join our Product team!
The Impact you will have in this role is:
1. Support the Heads of Buying and C&E in the briefing and development of the Regatta, Dare2B, Professional and Craghoppers footwear and C&E ranges to meet sales turnover targets, using detailed analysis of overall range efficiency, product performance and competitor research.
2. Conduct market research of the footwear and C&E ranges across the UK and Europe, with in-depth understanding gained of the Regatta key wholesale customer and own multi-channel distribution - retail, online and concessions.
3. Work closely with the merchandising team to analyze sales and purchase data vs sales targets by channel, country, customers, etc.
4. Maintain product range documentation and systems up to date as required with product and colours set up on PLM, ensuring cross-functional teams are informed on updates.
5. Lead the handover and development of new ranges with the design teams to the Xiamen office.
6. Clarify queries with the Xiamen team promptly, ensuring all development samples and salesman samples are available for key meetings.
7. Ensure on-time delivery of all own range orders and communicate any delays/early orders to merchandising.
8. Offer technical expertise with new marketing and product stories and concepts built for own range.
9. Issue correct bullet points and performance claims for each product to Marketing.
10. Deliver all samples on time - development, marketing, and salesman samples - liaising with relevant teams to ensure samples are available for key meetings and milestones as per the corporate calendar.
11. Collaborate with wholesale, retail, concession, and web teams to ensure a clear product selection and pricing strategy, as well as presentation of the footwear, C&E products, both in-store and online.
12. Create exclusive product offers with the sales and customer teams, and develop additional licensing ranges.
13. Communicate product effectively on all sales channels through collaboration with the Marketing team.
14. Participate in price negotiations with suppliers in Asia directly and/or via our China office.
15. Work with the Heads of Footwear and C&E, and the team in Xiamen to establish a solid sourcing strategy, ensuring products are delivered at best prices on time and to excellent quality.
16. Ensure compliance of the footwear, C&E supply base with the Regatta Group Ethical sourcing code of conduct.
17. Develop and produce products that meet the required compliance standards across all sales markets, working closely with the Head of Technical and Compliance for Regatta.
18. Keep compliance product files up to date and ensure timely reporting.
19. Meet departmental targets for product systems and corporate calendar for the footwear and C&E division.
20. Manage samples, admin, and general housekeeping.
21. Work with other team members on fitting (FTW) and wear (FTW) trialing of samples.

2. Up-to-date knowledge of technical and design developments within the industry and competitors.
3. Experience in detailed competitor analysis.
4. Knowledge of outdoor, workwear, and sportswear footwear, camping, and equipment brands and markets.
5. Experience in the management of the creation, product development, sourcing and delivery of branded products.
6. Understanding of overseas sourcing.
7. High attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
9. Drive to achieve.
10. Competent user of Microsoft Office.
11. Ability to quickly and effectively learn new systems.
