Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We are looking for an apprentice to join our two-man, in-house Tech Team, to support the BAU tech requirements for our 30+ clients, and to deliver the future strategy around AI and automation.
Role overview: The Digital Support Apprentice will assist the Tech and Innovations Team in various ways - from working on data handling to troubleshooting on hardware. This role is well suited for someone with an interest in building technical skills while working in a fast-paced logistics atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
● Data Work:
Data cleaning and modulation to produce the datasets that are usable and realistic
Support data analysis projects to improve decision-making
● Excel Skills:
Advanced functions in Excel for data manipulation and presentation
Maintaining spreadsheets for performance tracking and reporting
● Technical Support:
Work on diagnosing and fixing hardware issues specific to our organisation
First-line support for all tech issues, with escalation when required
● Tech Stack Improvement:
Working with teams to review and enhance current tools and software in terms of efficiency
Recommendations on speed and enhancements for an existing tech stack
Responsible for administering and optimizing Google Workspace, ensuring seamless collaboration, security, and efficient user management
● Scripts and coding:
Occasionally aid in supporting some scripting or programming projects to solve specific problems or create small tools
Learn and apply coding skills relevant to the role, under guidance from the team
Full training will be given in order to complete the above duties to the best of your ability. Tu Pack and Boom will provide support to guide you through your apprenticeship studies.
