Job Summary:
This role is responsible for operating HP Indigo 6k Presses, managing their own workload to meet production ETAs, and ensuring regular maintenance of printing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Equipment Operation: Operate HP Indigo 6k Presses according to standard operating procedures.
* Workload Management: Manage individual printing tasks efficiently to meet specific deadlines.
* Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that all printed products meet the necessary specifications.
* Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality of printing equipment.
* Material Handling: Operate a pallet truck to move, load, and unload materials (training provided).
* Training and Development: Engage in training programs to enhance technical skills; prior print machine operation knowledge preferred.
* Communication: Maintain effective communication with the print & production department and team members.
* Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe workplace.
Person Specification:
* Education: Functional skills
* Experience: Previous experience in a print production environment or direct experience operating printing machinery preferred but not essential.
* Technical Skills: Capable of managing complex machinery with a high degree of proficiency and a readiness to undergo training to ensure high standards of operation are maintained.
* Physical attributes: Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Other skills:
* Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high standards of quality in all printed products.
* Time Management: Excellent organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks efficiently.
