Aspiring Youth Justice Worker - Bletchley
This is an ideal role for Criminology and Psychology graduates looking to work in a specialist provision for children aged 7-19 who have experienced significant trauma and face social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
The role emphasizes holistic and restorative practices, fostering empathy and understanding. The school prioritizes supportive measures over punitive ones, utilizing manual handling training only as a last resort.
A practical trial day will be conducted in the school to ensure the role is a good fit for you. This is contingent on your ability to start ASAP, considering any notice period or university commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students in their daily activities and keep them safe.
2. Demonstrate the value of education to students.
3. Engage with students with various needs, including those with Autism, OCD, and social anxiety.
4. Implement positive engagement strategies to foster acceptance and independence in students.
5. Participate in SEN and safeguarding training, including MAPA Training.
Requirements:
1. Ability to work with children with diverse cognitive abilities and emotional needs.
