Job Title: 12-Month Work Placement - Flood Risk & Hydrology Engineer, Cardiff

Program Overview:
Our Intern & Placement programme offers hands-on experience and skill development in your chosen field. Supported by targeted training, the programme aligns with Arcadis' core values, providing technical, personal, and professional growth opportunities. You will work on real projects with clients over a 10-12 week internship or a 12-month placement.
Role Description:
The Flood Risk and Hydrology team addresses urbanisation pressures and climate change challenges. Your responsibilities will include working with hydrologists and flood modelling experts on projects such as flood mapping, risk assessments, reservoir studies, and water environment EIAs and consents. Projects vary from infrastructure to renewable energy schemes for diverse clients.
Qualifications:
* Accepted Degrees: BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, Water Resources, or Engineering Hydrology
Requirements & Skills:
* Currently pursuing a relevant degree
* Demonstrate skills such as resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork
* Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders using technical knowledge
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home when necessary (virtual working embraced where possible)
