Job Summary
A Key Holder is responsible for supporting the management team in the daily running of the store, specifically opening, closing (FSS) and operations, whilst seeking opportunities to drive sales through consistently remaining consumer focused.
They are accountable for achieving this by:
1. Holding keys for the store and being responsible for the store opening and closing processes (FSS only).
2. Supporting the management team with the daily operations of the store/counter.
3. Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times.
4. Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards.
5. Contributing to efficiencies through adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines.
Sales and Service
1. Consistently deliver Brand service and sales expectations at all times.
2. Participate and support the management team in eventing opportunities.
3. Process till transactions effectively, accurately and efficiently; manage queues, as necessary.
4. Answer the phone in the correct manner and deal with consumer queries accurately.
5. Tailor make experience to meet consumer needs providing alternatives and additional items and online, where appropriate.
6. Adhere to appearance guidelines and personal standards.
7. Understand and deliver daily and weekly Brand KPI’s.
8. Engage and communicate effectively with consumers providing accurate advice.
9. Effectively and efficiently deal with stock queries from consumers.
10. Effectively deliver Brand Services as required.
11. Use social media to engage with consumers and maximise sales opportunities.
Product Knowledge & Retail Standards
1. Identify features and benefits of products providing consumers with relevant information.
2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Brand and product.
3. Adhere to all store/company retail standards.
4. Maintain housekeeping standards.
5. Support the management team with visual merchandising changes adhering to guidelines.
6. Maintain an up to date awareness of new stock, best sellers, out of stock categories and layouts.
7. Identify faulty stock where appropriate, and take appropriate action.
Operations
1. Required to attend operations and stock management training.
2. Responsible for the opening of the store and beginning preparations for the day (FSS only).
3. Responsible for closing and securing the store/counter at the end of the shift.
4. Responsible for banking and till balancing.
5. Ensuring the store/counter is clean and organized.
6. Supervising the cleaning and delivery staff and overseeing them outside of business hours (FSS only).
7. Follow Brand/store procedures when receiving, checking and unpacking deliveries and actioning stock movements.
8. Store stock as per guidelines and procedures.
9. Accurately and effectively follow stock counting procedures, when required.
10. Effectively follow the replenishment process within agreed timeframes.
11. Accurately action promotions and discounts as per guidelines and/or instruction.
12. Adhere to the daily/weekly deployment rota.
13. Keep abreast of company/store information by means of workplace, team briefs, newsletters or any other forums the Brand utilises.
14. Adhere to all communicated company standards, Policies and Procedures.
Teamwork
1. Offer support and training to colleagues where appropriate whilst ensuring own responsibilities are fulfilled.
2. Assisting cashiers in periods of high customer volume.
3. Treat colleagues as consumers and provide them with the best service possible.
4. Act as a role model and encourage colleagues to achieve agreed standards.

6. Understand the company culture and promote the Brand image at all times.

Security and Health & Safety
1. Responsible for managing the alarm system, including setting and disarming it (FSS only).
2. Responsible for ensuring that the security system is in working order.
3. Required to be a part of the store ‘on call’ team should the alarm be triggered out of hours (FSS only).
4. Identifying problems with working conditions, observed hazards/maintenance issues and reporting them to management.
5. Adhere to store/company Security Policy and Procedures and take personal responsibility.
6. Adhere to store/company Health & Safety Policy and Procedures ensuring compliance to legal responsibilities and obligations.
7. Follow fire safety procedures and understand how to use associated equipment safely.
8. Demonstrate continual awareness of all Health & Safety requirements relating to lifting, carrying and effective use of ladders/steps etc.
9. Follow and help to organise evacuation/emergency procedures where appropriate.
