L3 Network Support EngineerBedfordSalary up to £60k per annum Technet are seeking a skilled L3 Network Support Engineer to provide 2nd and 3rd level support for our clients customers and client personnel as part of their managed service contracts. This role involves assisting with the use of Network & Security systems, technology, and products throughout the organization, and supporting the Sales and Services teams in delivering contracted services. The engineer will design and manage solutions and provide technical ownership from inception to conclusion.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide operational assistance and support to customers and internal teams within the Managed Services business.Offer out-of-hours on-call support for Network & Security services on a 24/7 rota basis.Manage escalations to vendors and ensure customers are updated on progress.Attend customer meetings to provide Network & Security technical solutions for contracted services.Assist with Data Availability testing and full invocation for customers.Perform hands-on activities within data centers, including cabling, equipment commissioning, and troubleshooting.Own and manage customer transition activities to successful completion.Resolve support calls and attend customer sites as needed.Undertake training to maintain up-to-date knowledge for Cisco and Checkpoint support.Follow change control processes for all changes to customer systems.Demonstrate Network & Security knowledge in pre-sales technical environments.Communicate knowledge throughout the team to improve overall team expertise.Assist and train Service Desk staff.Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers to provide technical knowledge to customers.Provide necessary documentation for standard solutions, including High and Low-Level designs.Ensure compliance with Network and Security procedures, routines, and protocols.Undertake other related tasks as requested by the Technical Services Manager.Fulfill responsibilities for the secure management of personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018.Work Experience/Skill Requirements:At least 4 years of experience as a Network & Security Engineer or equivalent.Cisco CCNA / CCNP or relevant experience.Checkpoint CSSA / CCSE or relevant experience.Fortigate / Fortinet Firewall experience.F5 Load Balancers, including Big IP experience.Proven track record of supporting WAN/LAN-based network services.Experience with network security & firewalls (CISCO & Checkpoint products).Extensive knowledge of and experience with Microsoft applications (including VISIO).Experience using network management & diagnostic tools.Up-to-date market knowledge.Ability to produce technical documents & procedures.Willingness to work unsociable hours when necessary.Join us and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional Network & Security solutions
