The Role
Vuba Minerals is a new state of the art Aggregate processing facility based in Goole. This multi million pound investment from Vuba will help to guarantee product quality while allowing Vuba to supply the increased demand for our products.
As a Purchasing and Inventory Planner for Vuba Minerals, you will play a key part in the forecasting, planning and procurement of products ensuring customers receive their goods within the agreed time frame and accurate plans are in place to meet the product demand around advertising campaigns and seasonal promotions.
As a Purchasing and Inventory Planner at Vuba, you will:
* Forecast volume increases and decreases and communicate these changes to suppliers within agreed lead times.
* Sourcing new suppliers, carry out due diligence and price research ensuring products meet the company quality standards.
* Work closely with the stock control and goods in team to maintain appropriate inventory levels for smooth daily manufacturing.
* Provide analysis of product and goods wastage and recommendations on where cost improvements can be made.
* Exhibit analytical thinking, with the ability to apply numerical skills, think critically, and check for errors or variance.
* Drive excellence, best practice, operational controls, cost savings and service improvements.
* Collaborate with the sales team and Production Manager to convert the sales forecast into a production plan.
* Work with production on monthly supply reviews.
* Manage weekly planning meetings.
* Review supplier service level reporting, investigate areas of concern, and resolve issues by initiating supplier meetings to discuss poor service levels and agree action plans to improve them.
* Monitor and make effective decisions on the clearance of non-moving and de-listed stock.
* Attend forecasting meetings with suppliers to execute accurate supply from suppliers to site.
* Manage the quarterly forecasting process with the manufacturing and sales teams.
* Conduct volume forecasting and demand planning for NPD and seasonal peaks.
We’re looking for somebody who is:
* Experienced in Manufacturing.
* Possesses previous experience in a Demand Planning role.
* Excellent in communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in computer skills, including Outlook, Excel (preferably advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Internet.
* Exceptional in organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills with attention to detail.
* Able to prioritise and handle multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
Working Hours: Based in Beverley, the working hours are 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am - 3pm Fridays.
Salary and Benefits:
